sparks of children in rural India?
AIM for Seva is an
organization providing free student homes (FSH) for children in rural villages,
giving children shelter, guardianship, school supplies, uniforms, homework
assistance, extra-curricular activities and medical facilities, thereby making
them self-reliant and self-confident individuals.
AIM for Seva organization
was founded by Pujiya Swami Dayananda Saraswathi in year 2000, to address the
main problem in rural education India, which is access to schools and hence
high dropout rates. Free Student Homes are built in proximity to existing
government schools, reducing the distances children have to walk, improving the
attendance and their performance in schools. AIM for Seva supports children for a period of 7-10 years till they become productive citizens of our society.
FSH also follow
environmentally friendly practices and innovative digital learning techniques.
The goal is to have 200 operational FSH in the year 2020. All donations for
this cause are exempt from tax under Section 501 © (3) of the United States
Internal Revenue Code. Many companies like Cisco Systems, Oracle Corporation, Google Inc... in the Bay Area match this donation to encourage charitable donations. Dance and music school groups get priority and discounts for this unique program.
